The Illume Difference
At Illume Mental Health, our approach to care is centered around the unique needs of each individual. We begin with 2-3 one hour evaluations. These evaluations are focused on thorough history taking where we will discuss your social context, genealogy, childhood, strengths, prior psychiatric history and current challenges. We will review any pertinent medical records you provide. The initial evaluation is a consultation, and is not a commitment to treatment.
At the end of the initial evaluation period we will provide a tailored treatment plan including a tentative formulation and specific recommendations for medications, psychotherapy, behavior change, further diagnostic evaluation, intensive care and or interventional psychiatry (TMS, ECT, ketamine).

What We Treat
We treat a variety of mental health conditions, including Depression, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, cPTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders and psychosis. Dr. Adelekun is an expert psychopharmacologist, with experience in management of Long Acting Injections, clozapine, and MAOIs.

Dr. Adelekun's approach to psychotherapy is relational and experiential. Through a combination of insight, capacity building and emotion processing, she works with her patients towards a richer life capable of holding both suffering and joy. Some people benefit from a different or more targeted psychotherapeutic approach, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure Response Prevention for OCD. This will be discussed during the initial evaluation and the appropriate referrals will be provided.

Our patients are active participants in their care. Whether engaged in medication management, psychotherapy or both; you will be asked to set specific goals for treatment, and monitor your progress towards those goals.
